Raised in western Ukraine, a Toronto based fine artist working with visual storytelling. While specializing mainly in portraiture, she explores individual identity, emotional presence and spiritual realities through historical cultural themes and heavily inspired by actively present community.

Rooted in themes of activism and personal beliefs, her portraits capture people in moments where the mind and environment meet together in one element, bodies surrounded by symbols (animals, plants and natural elements) that speak of who they are, what they carry and connected to.

At its core, D Theory’s practice is about paying attention to unseen forces, to what exists beneath the surface and finding a way to translate that into form.
